What a Amazing Adventure! ---Jungle,Natural Aquarium,Misterious”Blue Cave”
Blue Cave
‘’Blue Cave’’ is one of the famous sightseeing spot in Ishigaki Island. It locates next to Yonehara Camp Area.
There are many tourisms to go there, and it takes only 3~4 hours!
We recommend it if you don’t have enough confidence to do snorkeling or diving, easier to get a sea sick, take your children or old father or mother.
Because you don’t have to swim too much, ride on the boat to reach, don’t need physical strength.
In spite of these conditions, you can enjoy all of the nature of Ishigaki to join to the tour of “Blue Cave”!!
When you are interested in, search the shop and ask to join. They pick you up at your hotel, provide the equipments for snorkeling, and give a lot of informations.
After arriving, the little adventure will start!
You go down to the beach through the thick jungle. You can find rare plants and creatures like a hermit crab, land turtles, a red bard because it’s a tropical rain forest.
When you emerged from the jungle, you arrive at the beach!
Blue sky, white sands, and clearly sea like an emerald---they decorated the viewing, and make you happy!
snorkeling
If you want to do snorkeling at the beach, join when it’s high tide. If not, you should go there in low tide.
While you are swimming or walking to reach the “Blue Cave”, let you find the sea creatures!!
There are sea cucumbers, crubs, shurimps, shellfishs, starfishs, blue damsels---and NEMO!
NEMO is a crown anemonefish. They are living in a sea anemone ,which has a poison,to protect themselves from the foreign enemies.
Other creatures can’t touch the sea anemones because of their poisons, but they have the immunity.
By the way, do you know which is female and male?
Actually the biggest one is female, and second biggest is male, and others don’t have their sex!!
And if the female dead, male will be the biggest, so he changes to female!
Also the third one will be second, it changes to male!
So, telling the truth, NEMO’s daddy should be mammy!!X-D
Then, you can reach to the entrance of “Blue Cave”.There is the pool of sea water.After taking a picture,let’s jump in!!
The depth is only 1~3 meters, you can enjoy snorkeling even if you are taking your children. After passing the pool, you can eplore inside of the ‘’Blue Cave’’ like a limestone cave. You may find ‘’Star Sand’’ at the beach, or your favorite corals and shells. The view of the sea is very beautiful especially when it’s sunny.
The color of the pool is changed; it’s blue in high tide, and green in low tide.

“Blue Cave” is made by taking so long time.

Water Fall
After enjoying the “Blue Cave”, your guide will take you to the “Jungle Water Fall”!
There is a litter water fall and a pond in the jungle. You should take the rope and jump in to the pond!!
